Two among the four children poisoned and stabbed by their father on Tuesday evening in Homa Bay have died while undergoing treatment at the county referral hospital.
According to medics, the three-year-old twins succumbed after being overcome by poison intoxication which affected their brains and other internal organs.
The hospital’s physician Charles Ochola, said that one child died at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while his brother died while receiving treatment at the general ward.
He however confirmed that the remaining two children are in stable condition.
The deceased bodies have been taken to the hospital mortuary.
The four children were seriously wounded by their father identified as Ronnie Ochieng’ Nyore over alleged domestic dispute between him and his wife.
He stabbed the children in the stomach using a kitchen knife after he allegedly poisoned them using a pesticide.
He later committed suicide by consuming the pesticide.
