Tanzania health authorities has issued a Covid-19 international travel advisory. This states that international travelers, including those from Tanzania, shall be exempted from Covid-19 test requirements.
The travelers will be allowed in the country and only be required to produce a valid vaccination certificate.
“Travelers will be required to present a valid vaccination certificate with QR code for verification upon arrival,” stated the updated COVID-19 travel advisory released last Friday by the Ministry of Health. The advisory is effective March 17.
The accepted vaccines will be those approved by the World Health Organisation and the government of Tanzania.
Unvaccinated travelers will be required to produce a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR or NAAT certificate with a QR code obtained within 72 hours before departure.
While those without the negative Covid-19 RT-PCR shall be tested using RT PCR test at their own cost of 100 US dollars for Tanzania mainland.
