Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika accused of being Jubilee mole in UDA

Hell has broken loose within the Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance party (UDA) after one of his ardent supporters, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika was accused of being a Jubilee Party mole.

She was accused of being a political snitch and imposing former Members of County Assemblies (MCAs) on people.

Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has said that the senator has been bulldozing the party issues alone, leaving other leaders in the region.

Kimani cited that Kihika has been meeting other jubilee contestants and planting them in his constituency to compete with him. Kihika has also been accused of interfering with Naivasha constituency UDA candidature, favouring former Member of Parliament John Kihagi.

Taking to social media, Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara accused the senator of favouritism and disregarding elected leaders in her push to popularise the party.

Kihara has said that if this trend continues, it will taint the image of the Deputy President.

On her part, Kihika has vehemently denied the claims terming them propaganda.

She observed that at time like this, any information shared on social media can be taken as gospel truth and people should not take it seriously.

She has defended her support for the Deputy President and reiterated her commitment to the hustler nation.

“It’s high octane political season where anything goes. But it is okay, I’ve forgiven you, God is in control.” Kihika has said.

Meanwhile, Kihika maintained that she is firmly in UDA and a big supporter of Ruto shifting the blame to her political detractors.

“… I have been falsely accused of many things in my political career but never of being a Jubilee mole in UDA, Ngai haithuru, it’s the high-octane political season where anything goes. Lakini ni sawa tu, Nimewasamehe! Ngai Mbere!” she posted on her official Facebook page.

She was responding to rumours that she had been kicked out of a UDA party meeting at Ruto’s Karen residence for being a spy for the Jubilee party.

“For the avoidance of doubt, hapa ndio tuko! Nahatusongi! Ignore fake propaganda by desperate bloggers! Ruto the 5th,” she posted on her Facebook page with a campaign poster with the DP.

Kihika has also been accused by Naivasha Member of Parliament Jayne Kihara of planting seeds of discord in the party.

She claimed Kihika is supporting her opponent in the Naivasha parliamentary race, John Kihagi, who represented the constituency in the National Assembly before Kihara defeated him in the 2017 Jubilee Party primaries.

“We can’t allow (Kihika) to continue creating disharmony in our party unless the UDA top hierarchy is sanctioning her actions,” the MP said.

Kihara accused the senator of “conspiring with Jubilee Party,” to sponsor a mole to weaken UDA from within.

“The senator has not been sincere and is teaming up with our political opponents to ensure that only her preferred candidates sail through,” the Naivasha lawmaker added.

The MP alleged that some of the UDA candidates vying for the party’s primaries have the senator’s backing, despite earlier having flip-flopped on her party of choice.

She further accused the Senator of picking fights with UDA supporters, citing their row with Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri.

Kihara urged Kihika to stop engaging in political fights that would harm the party’s chances of success in the August 9 General Election.

“I’m not afraid to face off with any opponent during the UDA primaries, but what we’re asking for is a level playing ground for all the contestants,” the Naivasha MP added.

However, Kihika dismissed claims that she is fuelling infighting in UDA party in the county, following her latest row with Kihara.

Kihika has, instead, called for sobriety among leaders ahead of the UDA primaries slated for April 14.
