Bien’s ‘answered prayers’ at CHAN 2025 draw night

It was an unforgettable moment for celebrated Kenyan singer and songwriter Bien Aimé Baraza, as he delivered a thrilling performance during the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025 final draw held yesterday at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Kenya.

The auspicious event brought together top national teams, star players, and passionate fans from all over the continent, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.

Bien, a member of the multi-award-winning Kenyan Afro-pop boy band Sauti Sol, described that very moment as an episode of  “Living in answered prayers”.

He was introduced to the stage with much fanfare by the event’s master of ceremony Lavin Asego, a former Kenya rugby international.

“Ladies and gentlemen, let’s welcome Grammy Award-winning, Kenya’s highest-streamed artiste, the heart for East Africa. Give it up for Bien!” roared Asego.

And then the moment came. Dressed in a casual yet stylish ensemble of a white T-shirt and black trousers, Bien graced the stage with his signature confidence, after a short introductory redition of “Mwana wa mberi”.

He started off with a performance of Kuliko Jana, a song that Sauti Sol featured RedFourth Chorus.

Bien also performed other songs including Mbwe Mbwe and Extra Pressure.
