Deputy President William Ruto’s wife Rachel Ruto has intensified calls for harmony as the country prepares for election.
Ms. Ruto who was in Bomet for a denominational prayer meeting said the political competition should not be personalised to an extend of creating enmity. She was accompanied by Bomet East parliamentary aspirant Beatrice Kones and senate candidate Christopher Langat.
Ms. Ruto called on Kenyans to be spiritual saying it is only through prayer that Kenya will remain one after the polls. “It is everyone responsibility to remember our country through prayer. Lets humble and repent for country. We need define intervention and repentance,” she said.
She called for tolerance among Kenyans. Ms Ruto vowed to criss cross the country and ask kenyans to go before God as election nears. “It is only through prayers that we will be delivered as a country during this coming election. I urge kenyans to take leave from their duties to prayer for the country,” she pleaded. The prayer meeting in Bomet was led by Bomet county pastors forum.
