Thierno-Habib Hann has been announced by the housing development financier, Shelter Afrique as its new Chief Executive Officer.
The newly appointed CEO will succeed Andrew Chimphondah who left the company earlier this year.
Hann is the current Asia/Pacific lead for housing finance at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) which is based in Hong Kong.
In the firm, he is in charge of the strategy development and implementation of the housing finance programme.
Hann was previously in charge of Africa and the Middle Eastern region while based in Nairobi.
He began his career as a Senior Consultant in Financial Services and Capital Markets at a consulting firm, Arthur Andersen in New York City.
Hann has also worked at JP Morgan Chase as a manager and Vice President respectively.
While in the Company, he led investment teams issuing mortgage-backed securities and credit derivatives (CDS).
Hann has also served as the Private Sector Development Programme Manager in Guinea for the World Bank Group.
He is expected to join Shelter Afrique at the end of his current term with IFC.
