The Presiding Officer (PO) at the Kibera constituency tallying centre Umoja has misplaced the original Form 34A.
Through a video to agents at the constituency tallying centre in Upper Hill, the PO revealed that he misplaced the paperwork while moving his voting papers for clearance at the counting centre.
The polling station officer David Diang’a, for Stream 8 at Old Kibera, reported that the documents were in an envelope.
“I had them in an envelope and I had a bag and as I was manning my ballots but as I was pushing them in here for clearance, but when I got here, unfortunately, I didn’t have the form,” he said.
The constituency Returning Officer, on the other hand, stated that he would depend on the information provided, adding that the legislation allows for the re-opening of the votes, but only in the presence of the agents who were there.
He further stated that the PO will be accessible to answer any questions that may arise.
Yesterday, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) began posting Forms 34B from various constituencies to the public portal.
To access Forms 34B, log in to the IEBC portal and click on the Form 34A icon, which will bring up a drop-down menu with Forms 34B and 34C.
When you click on Form 34B, you will be brought to a website that displays the results of Forms 34B that have been uploaded thus far.
