Mobius Motors have announced today that they will be unveiling their first rally car to be used in the Rebelle Rally in the United States of America.
The event scheduled to be held from October 16, 2022, will be exclusively an all female competition.
Lisa Christoffersen and her navigator Pauline Sheghu, will be the first Kenyan team to participate in the rally. Christoffersen, who is the founder of the Lionesses Rally Team, will be leading the group going for the tournament.
Rebelle Rally will be covering 2,500 kilometres across the remarkable landscape of Nevada and California desert.
The activity is equivalent to the Dakar Rally but with some slight differences. It will not be a racing contest based on speed but a unique and demanding event based on the elements of headings, hidden checkpoints, time and distance using maps, a compass and a road book.
This event will not just be an ordinary one, it is a world-class podium where women will portray their prowess in the sport. A platform for them to shine designed at its core with great intention.
Mobius Racing Team Kenya will be leaving for Nevada in late September 2022. The car Christoffersen and Sheghu will use is locally manufactured in the country.
