Kenya’s Rugby Sevens national team popularly known as Shujaa has persistently continued to post undesirable results in the just-concluded Toulouse and London sevens.
This comes after the national team failed to qualify for the Cup quarters for the sixth time after posting detrimental results in the penultimate stage of the seven series.
Kenya finished at the bottom of the London Sevens after losing all their five matches.
Shujaa lost 14-5 to Japan in their last game of the day in the eighth leg of the World Series hosted at the Twickenham Stadium in London.
Debutant and Blak Blad winger Archadius Khwesa scored the only try that Kenya managed in the 13th place semi-final against Japan.
Prior to London’s leg, Kenya was positioned at a lowly position 12 with 37 points which was a two-place drop in the global rankings.
In France, Shujaa managed to record only one point after a sole pool win against Wales but went on to lose four other fixtures.
In the two competitions, Kenya has only managed a win in ten fixtures to leave the newly-appointed coach Damian McGrath fighting against relegation.
The McGrath coached side is now just two places above the 16th team that is headed for relegation in August.
Heading to the final round to be hosted in Los Angeles at the Dignity Sports Park on August 27-28, Shujaa must post positive results for the team to maintain in the top tier league.
