Residents of Lucky Summer area within Gatheca in Nairobi county woke up to shocking scenes after two people were found dead inside a Toyota Vitz that was stolen on Sunday May 22, 2022.
According to detectives based In Lucky Summer, the incident was reported to them by one Jeremiah Malaba Nasikungu who had visited the police station to do a follow-up on the theft report.
Nasikungu had reported that his Toyota Vitz had been stolen from the spot he had parked it last week.
However, while still at the police station, Nasikungu received information that a vehicle resembling his had been spotted dumped on the unoccupied ground in the Gathecha area.
He immediately rushed to the scene accompanied by the police on duty and on arrival at the scene, Nasikungu identified that it was his car but the front and rear number plates had been removed.
The sleuth took the matter into their own hands and combed through the area only to peep through the windows and discovered two bodies.
Upon investigations, the middle-aged male adults inside the car appeared to have blisters all over their bodies with a foul smell emanating from the vehicle.
The two bodies were moved to the city mortuary awaiting identification and post-mortem to determine the cause of death.
Detectives attached to Starehe Police Station have since seized the matter.
