The seven, Peter Gathungu (Leshau Pondo) Suleiman Kihika (Kanjuiri) and Muchiri Kariuki (Murungari ward) and their nominated counterparts Goergina Wanjiru, Esther Nyambura, Margarate Wanjiru, Esther Nyambura were suspended on what the party termed as “lack of respect and discipline to their offices and stature.
The MCAs, who are allied to speaker Wahome, were banned from conducting the business of the House for six months and also fined Shs.100,000 payable to the party account.
Following the new development, 26 MCAs supported the motion while only four of them opposed while the seven were squashed.
