President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura to be chair the KRA Board of Directors.
An issue of the Kenya Gazette released on Friday, October 4, 2019, stated that Muthaura had been appointed for three years.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (2) (a) of the Kenya Revenue Authority Act, I, Uhuru Kenyatta, the President and Commander in Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, appoint Francis Muthaura to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Revenue Authority, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 21st October, 2019.
Muthaura had been appointed in 2018 and his term would have ended on October 21, 2019, but his service seems to have impressed the president enough to warrant a term extension.
Mukesh Shah, Leonard Ithau, Susan Mudhune were appointed to the board of KRA.
Paul Muchiri Icharia and Rose Waruhiu were reappointed to serve on the same board for a period of three years.
