Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has intercepted 17 kilograms of marijuana with a street value of Sh680,000 at the Suam border.
Security agents arrested the suspect on Thursday while ferrying the substance on a motorcycle and will be arraigned in court once investigations are complete.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the substance, believed to be from Uganda, was destined for Nakuru.
The suspect had been intercepted by a customs officer on routine patrol at the border.
He sped off when the officer inquired about the package on the motorcycle.
After giving a chase for a distance of over three kilometers, the officer caught up with the suspect and handed him over to the police.
