UDA leaders mourn Nandi County Assembly Majority Whip Julius Keter
Nandi County Assembly Speaker Philemon Melly revealed that the law maker had been sick for three weeks before he succumbed to his illness
Leaders in Nandi County and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) have condoled with the family of Nandi County Assembly Majority Whip Julius Keter.
The Chemundu Member of County Assembly, who passed away last weekend, has been described as a UDA diehard.
UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar issued a condolence message to the family of the late legislator they adding that they are praying for them.
“The UDA Party sends its sincere condolences to the family of the late Hon. Julius Kipruto Keter, the Nandi County Assembly Majority Whip and Member of the County Assembly of Chemundu ward, who passed away on Saturday. We extend our sympathies for the loss of a son, father, husband, breadwinner, and a dependable party diehard. Our thoughts and prayers as the UDA party are with the entire family, the people of Chemundu ward, and the entire Nandi County at this very difficult moment of mourning. We stand with the family as they come to terms with this loss. On behalf of the entire party, leadership accepts our heartfelt condolences,” the party said in a statement.
Nandi County Assembly Speaker Philemon Melly revealed that the law maker had been sick for three weeks before he succumbed to his illness.
He was receiving treatment at a hospital in Eldoret.
Melly described Keter as a true servant and a legend, as he was one of the people who dedicated his life to the betterment of his people.
“His tireless work, unwavering commitment, and genuine love for the community will be cherished,” the speaker mourned Keter.
He was a first-term MCA after he was elected in the 2022 General Election.
Nandi Governor Stephen Sang condoled with the family, saying the MCA was committed to serving and uplifting the lives of his residents.
“Keter was not just a colleague but a friend and a true servant of the people. His unwavering commitment to uplifting the lives of his constituents, his humility, and his calm, thoughtful leadership will be missed,” the governor said.
