Sleuths launch probe into killing of man by State House spokesman’s bodyguard
The police indicated that contrary to the bodyguard's account, they found Langat shot several times in the stomach and chest after a confrontation.

Detectives have launched investigations into the shooting incident where a police officer attached to State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed fatally shot a man in Kawangware reportedly after an argument over a pool game.
Witnesses say Yusuf Keinan shot 35-year-old Amos Langat at a close range on the chest and stomach close to seven times before he went to Muthangari police station and reported that he was attacked by three men he did not know and one of them snatched his Ceska pistol.
Yusuf told the officers that he regained the pistol back after grabbing the muzzle before he ran to the police station to report.
“He alleges that today at around 2000hrs he alighted from a motorcycle at Kwa Mungai within Amboseli and as he was walking home when he was confronted by three men not known to him. One of the men struggled and snatched his Ceska pistol but he took hold of it by the muzzle and eventually recaptured it back. One of the men blocked him and he shot severally in the air to scare them. He ran away and reported the same to Muthangari Police Station alleging he had sustained a fracture on the left hand and injury on the left shoulder,” the police said in their report.

He was then rushed to Mary Immaculate Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
“The police established that the 35-year old was shot severally on the stomach and chest after a confrontation and was rushed to Mary Immaculate hospital where he passed away,” the police stated.
The body of the deceased was taken to Chiromo mortuary even as the police continue with investigations.
This adds to the many shooting incidences that have involved officers attached to senior politicians and people with high ranking in the society shooting and killing their colleagues and members of the public following arguments.
