Ruto welcomes new US two gender policy stand, reversal of LGBTQ push by western nations

President William Ruto has welcomed the latest policy on sexual orientation by the government of United States that recognises only two sexes – male and female, effectively putting a freeze to the controversial western nations push for lesbians, gays and queer.
Speaking during a Sunday church service at The Global Cathedral in Nairobi today, President Ruto emphasised the need for individuals to embrace the female and male-only policy.
He said he was impressed that the world’s largest democracy had moved to provide clarity to confirm what the Bible says, what African faith and culture firmly is grounded on.
“We thank God that this year, the very first news from the United States in the new administration is to confirm what the Bible says, what our faith believes in and what our tradition firmly is grounded on,” President Ruto said.
Last week, President Trump signed Executive Orders affirming that the United States will recognise only two sexes, male and female, that are unchangeable.
“We will forge a society that is colour blind and merit-based. … As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female,” Trump said during his inauguration.
The order requires the government to use the term ‘sex’ rather than ‘gender’. It also requires that identification documents issued by the government, including passports and visas, be based on what it described as “an individual’s immutable biological classification as either male or female.”
Hours after taking office, Trump quickly moved to fulfil campaign promises to roll back policies put in place by the Biden administration, which prioritized implementing diversity measures across the federal government.
Trump repealed 78 executive orders signed by Joe Biden, including at least a dozen measures supporting racial equity and combating discrimination against gay and transgender people.
Among the rollbacks, Trump rescinded two orders that Biden signed on his first day in office four years ago, one advancing racial equity for underserved communities, and another combating discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation.
Trump repealed other orders aimed at helping Black, Hispanic, Native American Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders.
“This week, I will also end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life,” Trump said during his inaugural address.
