Police recover firearm in Kayole, 3 suspects arrested
Police officers based in Kayole, Nairobi yesterday arrested three suspects in connection with a lost firearm.
Police said that they were informed that a man was looking for ammunition and was suspected to be in possession of a firearm.
The suspect was intercepted in Matopeni area while aboard a motorcycle.
Upon searching the suspects, police found an empty magazine in the pocket leading to the arrest of both men.
After further interrogation, the officers made the third arrest of a suspect who was to supply ammunition to the main suspect.
Police also said that upon investigations in the first suspect’s house, they recovered a pistol.
“A further search of the house revealed a black plastic imitation firearm stashed in a shoe rack,” police stated.
The suspects are currently in police custody awaiting arraignment.
