Police have launched a manhunt for a drug trafficking suspect who escaped while being escorted from Mathare mental hospital to Buruburu police cells.
According to police report, the suspect was taken to the hospital after developing withdrawal syndromes and oozing white substances from his mouth while in the cells.
While he was being led back to the station after being treated, he began to vomit, prompting the officers accompanying him to come to a halt where he apparently vanished.
One of the officers fired a warning shot into the air, but it was in vain.
