Norbrook Kenya unveils Sh99 million power plant
Facility features new transformers, electrical switchgear, distribution boards, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, and an advanced energy management system
Norbrook Holdingshas unveiled a state-of-the-art power plant in Kenya, completing a Ksh 98.8 million (£600,000) investment to enhance energy security and sustainability in East Africa.
With this investment, Norbrook Kenya reinforces its leadership in the region’s veterinary pharmaceutical industry, ensuring reliable product supply to support animal health, food security, and local economic growth.
The power plant facility features new transformers, electrical switchgear, distribution boards, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, and an advanced energy management system.
The UPS systems provide instant backup power during outages, ensuring uninterrupted operations, while upgraded switchgear enables a smooth transition between grid and generator power. The integrated energy management system monitors and optimises power consumption, reducing waste and improving efficiency.
