A powerful explosion in central Kabul has caused many casualties, Afghan officials and witnesses say.
Reports say ambulances have been ferrying victims of the blast in the capital’s diplomatic zone to hospital.
There was no immediate confirmation of any deaths but numerous reports speak of people being killed or injured.
It is not clear what caused the blast. Kabul has been targeted by the Taliban and other militants on many occasions in recent months.
