Man in trouble after fondling a police officer’s breasts inside police station in Nairobi

A 29 years old man is in trouble after allegedly fondling a police officer’s breasts at the Korogocho police station.

Gift Opiyo is now struggling to raise Sh50, 000 to pay cash bail or deposit an alternative bond of Sh100, 000 to secure his freedom during trial after he was charged with committing an indecent act with an adult.

Trouble started after Opiyo allegedly groped the cop code-named CCC in daring assault inside Korogocho Police Station.

The suspect denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Paul Rotich of the Makadara Law Courts.

Opiyo is facing charges of committing an indecent act with an adult contrary to section 11 (a) of the Sexual Offences Act (SOA) of 20006.

The suspect is accused of touching the police officers’ breasts on June 22 at around 4pm, inside the police station’ report office. Opiyo is accused of groping the officer’s bosom without her consent.

CCC was in full uniform and on duty when Opiyo walked in with a group of others and found the officer while seated at the report office making a phone call.

The suspect allegedly forced a hug on the cop and touched her breasts before she dropped the mobile phone and confronted him for the indecent action.

Opiyo allegedly told CCC to do what she could after she asked why he did the act, prompting CCC’s senior colleague who was nearby to intervene.

The senior officer raised an alarm and Opiyo was arrested by other police officers in the station and placed in custody.

CCC’s two colleagues including her senior who witnessed the alleged incident are listed as the only other witnesses who will support her testimony against Opiyo.

The matter will be mentioned on July 15, 2025 for a pre-trial and setting of hearing dates.
