Kenya to host agriculture expo in September
The AgroFoodpack Exhibition, which aims to increase local businesses’ manufacturing capacity, will be hosted in Nairobi next month.
MXM, Expo organiser Mudasir Mohammed noted that the three-day expo will take place at the Sarit Centre from September 2–4.
According to Mohammed, the expo will attract foreign direct investments since it targets entrepreneurs from sixteen countries.
“This expo provides a platform for technology transfer, boosting inter-trade and enhancing the opening of the gateway between Kenya and other 16 countries from Europe and Asian nations,” said Mohammed.
The countries targeted by the expo include; Burundi, China, France, Kenya, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.
“Agricultural and manufacturing are part of Kenya’s Big Four Agenda and we must connect local firms to new technology to drive growth within these two sectors, by doing so we shall be spurring their growth hence they can double their production capacity and create better jobs for Kenyans,” Mohammed added.
Agro, Dairy and Poultry, Grains and Storage, Food and Flavors, Biscuits, Cakes, Packaging and Processing Machines, Plastics, etc. are all covered in the AgroFoodpack Exhibition.
Aytav Poultry, Vitalac, Cbl Group, Altinbilek, Milltech, Meyer Corp, Sama Engineering, Fast Cables, PEL, and Windsor Machines are a few of the key players.
