Kenya Police lifted the Elite Cup after trouncing stubborn Nairobi City Stars 2-0 at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Kenya Police who fielded their top cream led by former Gor Mahia captain Haroun Shakava, Francis Kahata, Patila Omotto, Yusuf Mainge and Marvin Nabwire received a whooping Sh1million and a glittering trophy from the 8 teams’ tournament sponsor Nick Mwendwa amid thunderous cheers.
Mwendwa, was flanked by his deputy Doris petra and Sofapaka presda Elly Kalekwa among other guests.
Scorers for Kenya Police coached by former Gor Mahia coach Sammy Pumzo were David Simiyu 62nd min and Marvin Nabwire’s long rasping shot in the 73rd min respectively.
Though police fielded their top players, City Stars fielded their 10 new signings save for veteran Peter ‘pinches’opiyo and Calvin Masawa.
