Kenya Pipeline keeps firm hold on women’s volleyball league 4th leg
The lower half of the standings sees Kenya Army at seven points, followed by Prisons Nairobi and Vihiga, both tied at six points
Kenya Pipeline remains the dominant force in the women’s 4th League Leg, securing a perfect record with nine wins and 25 points. Their lead is closely challenged by KCB Bank, who has claimed seven victories and holds 23 points.
In the battle for third place, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Prisons Kenya are locked in a tie, each boasting six wins and 18 points. Postbank follows with 14 points, while Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) remains in pursuit with 12 points.
The lower half of the standings sees Kenya Army at seven points, followed by Prisons Nairobi and Vihiga, both tied at six points. Maranatha has struggled, securing only 3 points, while Young Spykers are yet to register a win and remain at 0 points. Lipalikes Volleyball has yet to participate in any matches.
As the league unfolds, the fight for the top spots is heating up, with teams striving to improve their standings. Fans can expect thrilling matchups at the mop up matches scheduled for May 2-4 2025 at Nyayo Stadium.
Meanwhile, the final showdown of the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) National League for begins this weekend with the mop-up matches lined up at Nyayo Stadium. Action galore is expected as teams battle for the top spots and to improve their standings.
A total of 11 teams will compete over three days, with Prisons Kenya, Vihiga Volleyball, and DCI leading the pack as the teams with the most matches, each scheduled for three intense games. Their matchups will include encounters with formidable opponents such as Kenya Army, Postbank, Prisons Nairobi, KDF, and Kenya Pipeline.
Prisons Kenya will square up against Kenya Army on Friday, DCI on Sunday and Vihiga on Monday. As for Vihiga Volleyball, there next three games will include; Postbank on Friday, Prisons Nairobi on Saturday and Prisons Kenya on Sunday.
DCI, on their part, lined up against KDF on Friday before a clash with Prisons Kenya a day later and then finish off the weekend roster with Kenya Pipeline on Sunday. Young Spykers on their part have two matches lined up at the weekend with a date with Prisons Nairobi on Friday and Kenya Army this Saturday.
Maranatha, on their part, have also two matches lined up with KCB Bank and KDF on their sights Sunday in what is an acid test. Meanwhile Kenya Army face off with Prisons Kenya and Young Spykers separately on Friday and Saturday with KDF taking on DCI this Friday and Maranatha on Sunday.
Other matches lined up include; Postbank versus Vihiga Volleyball on Friday, Kenya Pipeline against DCI on Sunday and KCB Volleyball against Maranatha.
