Junior KRA staff stunned as corrupt boss maintains false public image of professionalism
A senior Kenya Revenue Authority honcho who is said to paint a false public image of professionalism has sent tongues wagging at the institution after he ordered an imported high-end vehicle be released without paying duty amounting to millions.
Mid-level managers at the Customs Department were shocked after their boss who trumpets anti-graft outbursts at every slightest opportunity at the sight of cameras directly called them using his personal number ordering release of the automobile directing that an invoice be sent for clearance after the release.
The official, regarded as an outsider in the profession is said to holding brief for some politicians and powerful businessmen.
It is only a matter of time before the power thirsty boss is unmasked by the anti-graft sleuths who are said to have been seized-off the matter and other corrupt dealings being facilitated by the official’s operatives.
