John Mbadi survive grisly road accident in Siaya
Suba South Member of Parliament John Mbadi survived a grisly road accident yesterday.
Through a statement, Mbadi confirmed that his personal vehicle was involved in an accident on his way home from the launch of Siaya Senator James Orengo’s manifesto.
Mbadi stated that everyone was unharmed in the collision yesterday.
“Thanks, everyone for your concerns over the accident. While it was grisly, I’m happy to report that I and my crew left the scene unhurt and we thank God almighty. We are comforted by the prayers of the psalmist that, ‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me,” he said.
According to data from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), around two thousand people have perished on Kenyan roads since January of this year.
Since January 1, 2022, 1,912 individuals have perished in road accidents, according to Overall, the results indicate a 9 per cent increase over the 1,754 fatalities reported the previous year.
Six hundred and eighty-two pedestrians were killed in accidents this year, compared to 573 in the same period the previous year.
Motorcyclists came in second with 530 deaths, followed by passengers (308), pillion passengers (185), and 28 pedal cyclists.
