Police in Laikipia East have expressed concern over the increased invasion of Private farms by herders who are driving in thousands of animals and leaving them to graze.
This is after over 3000 herds of cattle were impounded at Ole Naishu Ranch over the weekend and another herd of one thousand animals were seized today at night at Mugambi Farm in Daiga Division.
The animals were pushed to Nanyuki Police station where they are being held awaiting the owners to resurface after they escaped when police raided them at the farm.
Addressing the media at the station Laikipia East police boss James Kithuka said that they have arrested 15 people among them five children who are being used by their parents to graze the animals.
