Former Mt Elgon MP John Serut dies in Nairobi

Former Mount Elgon Member of Parliament John Serut has passed away, his family has confirmed.

According to his son succumbed to cancer complications while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

The former legislator’s family had, late last year, issued a public appeal to offset his medical bills.

As of October last year, his bill had accrued to at least Sh20 million.
