Drama in court as detective Mugo claims life in danger

Dramatic scenes have played out in court today morning after private investigator Jane Mugo bursted into tears during a court appearance.

Appearing before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi for the mention of a case against her where she is accused of threatening to kill a businessman, Mugo claimed her life is in danger and her recent kidnappers were planning to kill her.

According to the private investigator, one of the kidnappers was in court and was being used by a media person to take photos and have her killed following the investigation on someone implicated in corruption.

“I was kidnapped and tortured by kidnappers who want me killed like Willy Kimani but I will fight for justice,” she told court.

The private investigator alleged that she had been kidnapped on November 24 last year.

She pleaded afresh to the case after prosecution amended the charge sheet.

In this matter, the detective allegedly threatened to kill Deepa Shah and unlawful use of firearm.
