Clinical officer who testified in Sharon murder case returns home

Cliff Momanyi, a key witness in Sharon Otieno’s murder case who went missing, has returned home two days after he was reported missing.

His wife, Mary Kimaiga, through a statement to the Police at the Kisii police station confirmed that he was safe and unharmed.

She had reported to the same police station when the husband failed to return home on Wednesday.

Momanyi is yet to record his statement in regards to the same matter.

Initially, Momanyi was neither reachable on the phone nor was he seen. The signal indicated that he was last traced to Bomet before it went off.

“My husband was supposed to come back on Wednesday night, but he is not yet home; his phone indicates that he was last online at around 7:29pm on Tuesday, March 22. As a family, we are very much worried now that we know the matter he was involved in,” she stated.

During the Milimani Law Courts hearing, Momanyi testified to falsifying documents for Governor Okoth Obado’s personal assistant Michael Oyamo.

Oyamo wanted the medical reports to indicate that he was sick and hospitalised when Sharon’s body was discovered in Homabay county. The police are investigating the matter.
