Johnson Muthama announces Faith Muli as deputy in the Machakos gubernatorial seat
Faith Muli will deputise Johnson Muthama for the Machakos gubernatorial seat using the United Democratic Alliance.
The dual announced that they would work together to bring the best services to the people of Machakos County.
The two were at Kitulu day Secondary School to condone with the family of former MP Onesmus Kimuyu. Muthama explained his choice by saying that Professor Muli, the current Machakos Medical and Technical Training College Director (MTTC), was well placed to take the position due to her immense experience working with the community.
“I was looking for someone with brains and humbleness who can talk, listen and interact with the elderly women because I want to serve the Machakos people most effectively,” said Muthama.
Terming her as a humble woman who does not discriminate, Muthama noted that her wealth of knowledge would see that the people of Machakos get immense benefit in all crucial facets of life.
“Faith fits the position well; she is very understanding with no social class and therefore can interact with every person regardless of their position in the society, I did not want to choose someone who will be speaking English to you on top of trees rather than who you can easily reach and interact with,” Muthama stated.
Apart from Muthama, former Chief of Staff under Chama cha Uzalendo party (CCU), Nzioka Waita teamed up with Machakos County Assembly Speaker Florence Mwangangi to form their dynamic dual.
Other leaders eyeing the Governor seat are Wavinya Ndeti, Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, Machakos Deputy Governor Eng Francis Maliti, and Advocate Kyatha Mbaluka, among others.
