Blow to UDA as vice chair Kipruto arap Kirwa dumps Ruto for Raila

The United Democratic Alliance has suffered a major blow after party vice-chairman Kipruto arap Kirwa decamped from the Deputy President William Rutoled outfit for Azimio La Umoja Coalition led Raila Odinga.

Kirwa who spoke today at the Azimio la Umoja rally held at Sirisia market in Bungoma County announced that his resignation from the UDA party has been precipitated by lack of internal democracy within the party.

He said that the future is Azimio.

“From today I Kipruto Arap Kirwa have resigned as UDA vice-chairman because I have seen how democracy is going to be suppressed if we allow the other side,” he said.

According to the former Cherangany MP, his decision to leave UDA was based by the deputy factor.

Kirwa assured Kenyans that the two deputies can be best compared to light and darkness.

He further said that he called the Azimio presidential running mate Martha Karua and asked her to be the one to announce his coming to the Azimio la Umoja camp.
