A Cabinet Secretary on investigators radar over questionable wealth
A recently appointed Cabinet minister has come under the radar of detectives after questions emerged over the rapid accumulation of wealth barely a year after assuming office. According to multiple sources within investigative circles, the CS, who previously held no significant private business interests has seen his assets grow at a pace that has raised internal red flags.
Preliminary intelligence reports suggest a sharp rise in the value of properties linked to the CS holding a key docket, including high-end real estate and luxury vehicles whose acquisition dates fall within his short tenure.
The CS is also said to have lately become openly arrogant.
Financial investigators are said to be scrutinising several large cash transfers made through accounts associated with his close aides and family members, allegedly inconsistent with his known income streams.
Investigative agencies are also examining procurement decisions within the ministry, amid concerns that influence may have been used to steer multi-million-shilling contracts towards favoured companies.
