Three Administration police officers escaped death narrowly Sunday afternoon after a police vehicle they were traveling in collided with a truck on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
Witnesses at the scene of the accident told the press that the 2pm accident left the three officers with minor injuries and are admitted at a Nakuru private hospital for treatment.
The truck`s driver Dan Omuse was not scathed in the accident.
The visibly shocked Omuse said he was traveling to Tororo, Uganda at the time when the police vehicle he said was over speeding lost control and rammed his truck while overtaking another vehicle.
The police vehicle was heading to Nakuru from Molo.
Omuse further said a police officer that bolted out of the police vehicle moments after the collision alluded at his frustration at trying to advice the police driver against over speeding.
The mangle of the police vehicle was towed to Nakuru Central police station.
