Co-op Bank support MSMEs customers access international market through foreign business trips
The Co-operative Bank of Kenya has bolstered her support for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) clientele by organizing foreign business trips to enable them access the all lucrative international market.
On Thursday this week, September 28, 2023, the lender saw a delegation of Kenya entrepreneurs land in Hainoi, Vietnam, the epicenter of textile, leather, footwear, electronics and hardware businesses in the region.
“Co-op Bank MSME customers have landed safely in Vietnam and into the heart of Hainoi the epicenter of textile, leather, footwear, electronics and hardware businesses in the region.” The bank said through a Twitter post.
In August this year, Co-operative Bank of Kenya was recently named the best financier of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in Africa at Global SME Finance Awards 2023. The lender bagged the Gold Award for the SME Financier of the Year in Africa.
“In collaboration with IFC and other partners, we have taken time to listen, study and build a most competitive value proposition for SMEs intended to support them realise the goals they have set for themselves.” Co-op Bank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Group Managing Director Gideon Muriuki said.
