Detectives are investigating an incident where a 27-year-old woman was attacked and raped by three men posing as police officers in Kahawa West.
The lady told police that she was in the company of her boyfriend and were walking home after buying food at a local shopping centre when they were confronted by three men who claimed to be police officers.
The two said that they were ordered to lie down on the ground when the men started to gang rape the woman as the boyfriend watched helplessly.
The men who were armed with knives later escaped and left the two at the scene.
The woman was taken to a hospital based in Juja where she was attended to and discharged afterwards.
Kiambu police commander Perminus Kioi said that officers are investigating the matter and to make sure that the offenders are behind bars.
