Political leaders under the Kenya National African Union (KANU) party have called on Jubilee Party to respect other leaders threatening that they would mobilize their supporters to vote for the opposition.
Speaking at Olepolos in Narok South during the launch of Kitilai Ole Ntutu who is vying for the Narok South parliamentary seat, the leaders stated that the deputy president is spoiling for Jubilee party by making reckless remarks.
Emurua Dikir MP Johanna Ngeno categorically stated that Deputy President William Rutto has always insulted elected leaders in his tours of South Rift. He called on president to talk to his deputy terming him a ‘jigger’. Ngeno threatened that if the trend of insults continues then they would mobilize electorates to the opposition.
KANU secretary general Nick Salat pointed out that the party had joined Jubilee but the deputy president seems to be pushing them away. He also lashed out at Ruto pointing out it was only a few months to the elections and they can still move to the opposition to give them a 50 plus one advantage over Jubilee.
