Outgoing Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nzomo Mutuku is dead.
Through a statement by the Authority, Mutuku died in his hotel room in London where he was attending a meeting.
Mutuku had served at RBA for more than 20 years.
“The late Nzomo has served the Authority for more than 20 years. He was instrumental in the founding of the Authority, initially headed the Research & Policy function, and subsequently rose to the position of CEO,” RBA said.
RBA credited Mutuku for the growth of the agency.
“The late Nzomo has made an invaluable contribution to the growth of the retirement benefits industry in Kenya, the region, and internationally. His death is, therefore, a big loss to the family and the financial sector,” RBA added.
