Kenya Kwanza presidential candidate Deputy President William Ruto has pledged to make two thirds gender rule a reality within three months in office if they win the race to Sate House on August 9 polls.
Ruto spoke today during the Charter signing event with Kenya Kwanza Women League at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi.
In what has been widely interpreted as a too ambitious idea, Ruto promised to give diapers to newborns for three months.
During the Kenya Kwanza Women charter conference event, the DP added that women will be at the decision making table under his tenure in both national and county governments.
“Within three months of the Kenya Kwanza rule, we will put a mechanism to actualize the two third gender rule,” he said.
He exuded confidence that Kenya kwanza will have majority of elected women claimed his government will focus on uplifting women across the country and ensure half of cabinet appointments are women.
“We will produce most elected women Governors, setting a record in Kenya,” the DP said
At the same time the DP took a swipe at rogue Public servants involved in illegal transfers of lands and property to disinherit Kenyans promising to have a law formulated to criminalize the vice.
Ruto further pledged to establish 50 billion shillings hustler fund to boost small and medium enterprises without interest.
