Nominated Member of Parliament David Sankok was grilled again yesterday over inconsistency of the death of his son in Narok County.
The Police records indicate that Sankok had to be grilled a second time over what the record termed as ‘inconsistencies’.
At least ten people, who include family members and workers have already given their account of the events of the day.
The family members who have recorded statement are Sankok’s wife and children.
Memusi Sankok, 15, allegedly shot himself dead with a gun after an altercation with his father. However, it is not clear what detectives are looking into on the gun saga.
“It was as they went through the statements they detected inconsistencies hence the need for clarification,” police said.
The Police confiscated the MP’s shotgun and Ceska pistol for analysis and examination.
With the shift now on the ballistic analysis on the two guns owned by Sankok, the probe report will be forwarded to the Office of Director of Public Prosecution with a variety of recommendations.
A local daily reported that the police did not collect any spent cartridges from the scene of crime rising questions on whether the scene was tampered with.
Police are planning to recommend that Sankok be charged with negligence in handling his firearm.
A licensed firearm holder is always supposed to ensure the safety of their gun.
Apart from the charges, the team handling the case also plans to recommend an inquest into the boy’s death.
