Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) Editor-In-Chief Samuel Maina has been appointed as acting managing director.
This follows the retirement of his predecessor Dr Naim Bilal whose contract ended on March 19.
Through a memo from Board chairman Benjamin Maingi, Maina’s appointment was to ensure continuity and smooth running of the corporation.
“All staff members are hereby required to give the acting Managing Director full support and cooperation for efficient and effective delivery of services,” read part of the memo.
“The board takes this opportunity to thank Dr. Naim Bilal for his services at the Corporation,” it added.
