Big cat enthusiasts worldwide mourned the death of a famous lioness that died last week in a suspected case of human-wildlife conflict.
The lioness bestowed with legendary status in the Mara was nicknamed ‘Mama Kali’ while others called her the ‘Queen of the Mara Triangle.’
The lioness that belonged to the famous Angama Pride would be found in the larger Mara Conservancy and was responsible for the Pride of about 14.
It is due to her outstanding ability and courage which led to her collaring in 2020 by the Mara Predator Programme.
