Jackson Kiprotich Kibor, a controversial businessman-cum-politician from Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County is dead.
His family confirmed that he died last night at St Luke’s hospital in Eldoret.
His daughter Loyce Kibor says he has been ailing for some time.
He has died aged 89.
He was a prominent farmer and politician who once served as a Kanu chairman in Uasin Gishu during the regime of retired President Daniel Moi.
He later differed with Moi and joined ODM.
He was also a renowned polygamist and had three wives and an ardent proponent of the imaginary Men’s Conference.
Kibor was a wealthy farmer owning more than 4,000 acres of land and other properties, including real estate in several parts of the country.
