The national utility company, Kenya Power has finally restored power in some regions following a four hours outage that put to hold business activities across the country.
In a statement, the utility firm says the electricity has been restored in parts of Nairobi, West Kenya, Mt Kenya, North Rift, South Nyanza and Central Rift.
Kenya Power highlighted the blackout to collapsed towers on the Kiambere- Embakasi high voltage transmission power line.
“Our engineers are being undertaken, an update on restoration progress will be issued in due course,” says the utility firm.
Other parts of the country are still experiencing partial blackout however the firm has said they are working to restore the supply.
” We are working to restore supply to the remaining areas affected by the outage,” they assured.
