2024 KCSE exam results to be released today

Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba will release the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results today at 10 am.

“Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba will today at 10 am release the KCSE 2024 Examination results at New Mitihani House, South C, Nairobi at 10 am,” the Kenya National Exam Council announced on its social media handles.

Last month the CS had announced that the results would be released in the second week of January.

The exam began on October 28 with 965,501 candidates sitting the assessment across 10,755 exam centres across the country.

There has been anxiety among parents and candidates who sat for last year’s KCSE exam over the delay to release the results in December, a tradition set by former Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiangi in 2016.

But Ogamba, who had earlier said that the much-awaited results will be released on January 13, attributed it to an increased number of students and adjustments introduced by the new Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) reforms.

“This year’s marking process has been rigorous to maintain the highest standards of transparency and fairness. We understand how much these results mean to our students, and we are committed to delivering them with integrity,” he said yesterday.

“I know the anticipation can be stressful, but it’s important to remember that these results are not the end—they’re a beginning,” the CS added.
