Three people were killed in Giriftu town, Wajir West, on Thursday following clan feuds over a well in a settlement scheme.
Three other people were seriously injured after two clans clashed.
Northeastern Regional Commissioner Mohamed Birik told the Star on Friday security has been beefed up.
Troubled started when armed men attacked Garse Koftu and killed two men. In retaliation, an expectant woman was also killed.
Birik said four chiefs linked to the clashes have been arrested.
