In the initial seizure in Embakasi, the government stores were recovered at an apartment following a tip-off from members of the public.

Through an update on the National Police Service (NPS) official Twitter handle, the Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome said the assorted government stores were recovered through community policing efforts.
“The items recovered include 25 rounds of ammunition, military fatigue- jungle uniforms, bags, boots, helmet, military campuses, career bag, military Identity Card among others.” The update read in part.

So far, no arrest has been made in connection to the seizure and it also remains unclear if the said apartment, now cordoned off as a scene of crime whether it was inhabited by a military officer of not.
