Naivasha subcounty commissioner Isaac Masinde has said the SGR is safe despite the Monday accident that killed two workers.
During the incident, a section of the railway line that is under construction from Nairobi to Olkaria collapsed, burying six workers.
Two were confirmed dead on arrival at Mai Mahiu health center, while four others who were seriously injured have since been transferred to Kikuyu Mission Hospital.
Speaking on Tuesday, Masinde called for patience, noting that it was too early to start pointing fingers following the accident.
“Four of those injured during the accident have been transferred to Kikuyu Mission hospital for specialised treatment and they are in good condition,” he said.
