KQ flight to Mombasa aborts mid-air

A Kenya Airways flight to Mombasa was Friday morning forced to abort mid-air.

The plane, KQ604, took off from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 10:11am and minutes later a bird strike occurred causing an engine glitch.

According to KQ website, the plane was expected to land in Mombasa at 10:56am.

The number of passengers on the plane was not immediately revealed.
