Three top West Pokot County Jubilee officials have defected from Jubilee Party and joined KANU citing bad leadership by party county leaders.
Led by the Jubilee West Pokot County Chairperson Mr. Elijah Powen Kapelo , Pokot South sub county Jubilee Secretariat chairperson Jon stone Mukelima and Kacheliba youth league representative Enoch Naitale the leaders vowed to campaign for KANU and ensure the independent party wins majority seats in the region.
Speaking at Kacheliba, Mr. Kapelo accused the Jubilee team for spoiling County politics.
“We can’t keep on cheating President Uhuru Kenyatta that all is well in Pokot,”said Mukelima . They were received by West Pokot senator Prof John Lonyangapuo who is seeking to unseat incumbent governor Simon Kachapin.
